[If I had been aboard the Destiny, during the episode Light, where they’re flying towards a sun, I would’ve asked them to take my name out of the lottery.]
[The best season for me is easily the first season of Atlantis. It just blows its other four seasons, the ten seasons of SG1, and both seasons of Universe out of the water.]
[I don’t think I’ll ever understand why there was so much hate for SGU. I loved every, single minute of it.]
[I was absolutely fascinated by the way Rush was so intricately and amazingly written. He was so frustrating and awesome. I just wish we could have seen his full journey.]
[People like Carter, McKay, Rush, Eli make me want to do physics at Uni.]
[My impression of people who complain that Stargate Universe was too much like Degrassi or a soap opera set in space, is that they’re not ready for any science-fiction with more depth than Star Wars.]
[I hated the way they portrayed the body swapping on SGU. I would have preferred to see the characters interact with someone who looked like the person they knew but acted differently. I had the same problem with ‘Identity’ on SGA.]
[I didn’t even start watching the series (but loved the move ^_^) until after SGA was already canceled, so by the time I got around to watching SGU I didn’t have a hate-on for but I still didn’t like it anyways. I loved the commadarie and obvious affection and loyalty in both SG1 and SGA and really grew to love both casts, but with all the fuckery and infighting in SGU I wouldn’t care if the whole crew got airlocked.]
[Any time the US news media is going on about how much the government is spending, I’m always like, “It’s to fund the Stargate Program. Can’t you see?!”]
[I honestly thought that SGU was like a soap opera set in space, which while being an impressive achievement. Just was not my thing]
[Kino-vision completely ruined ‘Time’ for me. It was a pretty strong episode but the blurry edges and quick, static jumps just broke the tension instead of adding to it.]
[I liked Universe I just felt it needed more aliens]
[I wish one Stargate was still on air so we could see some gay servicepeople now that DADT is repealed. That would have been cool.]
[i have a distaste for SGU haters out there yeah its not the same as SG1 or SGA but if you took a second and not looked at it as stargate spinoff its a really good drama and in my books the acting is way better.]
I can see someone would think SGU had better acting, from a purely subjective standpoint. The other two have a much less gritty and more fun feel and I think that affects someone’s reaction to acting. It’s easier to put something into the ‘drama’ category when there are less puppeteers.
Also, Imma gonna create a tag at Stargate Confessions called ‘wankbait’.
