[1) I was relieved when Jack left at the end of S8 and I haven’t missed him. 2) I was thrilled when Ben Browder joined the cast, and I adore Cam Mitchell. 3) I think Cam/Sam is a much more compatible (and fun) pairing than Jack/Sam, and I wish the writers had gone that route. Apparently these three opinions make me pretty much a heretic in Stargate fandom.]

[I love Stargate and always will. But as a Psychology student, Sam saying that schizophrenia was a split personality to Martouf grinds my gears every time. Sam should be smarter than that.]

[I love how Sam is such a popular female character without having to be the kind of super-skinny model-type actor. Amanda’s the natural kind of beautiful.]

[I never stopped resenting Sam on Atlantis, mostly because I couldn’t get away from the implications that she was supposed to be an “improvement” over Elizabeth. At least with Woolsey, I never felt like he was supposed to be “better”, just different. It was easier to accept.]

[I get annoyed when people act like SG-1 revolved around Jack/Sam and their “epic love” and treat Daniel and Teal’c like supporting characters.]

[As much as I love Sam she just didn’t fit on SGA. The show was never the same without Elizabeth.]

[I love how Stargate teaches us academic stuff. Science and Math for Carter, History and Old Language for Daniel, Philosophy (in a way) and Tradition for Teal’s… Jack well, Jack for Strategic Planning, Sarcasm, Fishing and Grammar - hey he does correct others in some episodes. :)]

[There will never be a reason for me to like Science and Math equations because of Carter, but her theories and how she says things like wormholes, alternate selves and stuff makes me realize how Carter greatly influences my love of the outer space and the theory of science behind it.]

[I used to love thinking of Sam and Jack being together post-series, but I’m finding it difficult to ship them at all these days. Amanda Tapping is way too hot for RDA now.]

[I wanted to love Sam, but I always had issues with how they dealt with her as a woman. After listening to Amanda talk about how she fought for Sam it scares me to think how poorly she was originally written. Amanda saved Sam. Without her Sam would have been a cliche, blonde girl who happened to have a degree and was mostly there for sex appeal. Thank you Amanda <3]

[I ship Jack/Sam, Jack/Daniel, ok Jack/everyone. But I’ve always sort of felt that if she approached him, he’d have chosen Sara over everything (including Thor). I always kind of wanted them to work things out ever since I saw “Cold Lazarus”.]

[After that scene when Sam asks Jack “What about you, if things were different,” and he says “I wouldn’t be here”, me and my sister waited a beat, and then both went “But what does that mean?!” 3 years later and I’m still not too sure.]

[SG1 ended for me after S8. 9 and 10 don’t exist in my universe. And I will NEVER forgive the writers for not resolving Sam and Jack properly.]

[People like Carter, McKay, Rush, Eli make me want to do physics at Uni.]

[Nothing will convince me that Amanda Tapping’s appearance on “Due South” isn’t Samantha Carter prior to joining the SGC.]
